In August 2006 I moved to K-town on Kyushu Island in Japan, where I now teach Harry Potter and debate at a high school for gifted English students. I work with Praju, who hails from Mumbai, and The Sensei including: Green Tea Sensei, Gonzo Sensei, O Sensei, Ms. Delicious, and my occasional nemesis T-Rex Sensei. The husband, Johnathan, teaches at a nearby junior high school. We're leaving K-town August 1st, 2008 with four suitcases filled with small ceramic cups to pursue our fortune's elsewhere. It's been wild.
